The Story Behind Rose Paper & Provisions

The Fine Art of the Sentiment: Why I Started Rose Paper & Provisions

There is something irreplaceable about a gift that was actually made by hand—something you can taste, touch, and keep. I’ve always believed that the best way to say "I’m here for you" involves a little bit of flour, a splash of watercolor, and a lot of heart.

The Backstory I grew up in Southern Maryland, but after heading to the University of Tennessee for college, I realized I was a Southerner at heart. Between falling in love with the pace of life, meeting my husband, and adventuring with our two pups, Cooper and Wrigley, the Lowcountry was the only place that felt like home. Aside from a year spent in Jacksonville, FL, Charleston has been our home base since 2020. My favorite ways to recharge outside of baking involve getting in a tough strength training session, scouting out new restaurants, or simply getting lost in the beautiful nature the area has to offer.

The Idea Long before this was a business, it was just my favorite way to say 'I'm thinking of you.' For years, my go-to gift was a pairing of two things: a hand-painted card and a warm batch of cookies. Witnessing how much these small, tangible gestures meant to the people in my life was the only inspiration I needed to bring this vision to life.

The Catalyst The true catalyst happened about a month ago. I wanted to send a birthday treat to my best friend, Hailey, just to let her know she was on my mind. After browsing the usual online gifting sites, I was honestly underwhelmed. Everything felt either wildly overpriced or completely impersonal, which led me to a question: Why is it so difficult to find a gift that is high-quality and sentimental, but also sensible? I decided to create the alternative I couldn't find.

Rose Paper & Provisions is built on the belief that heartfelt connections shouldn't be complicated or overpriced. The name itself is a nod to my roots—Rose is a namesake that spans both sides of my family, and it felt like the only way to build something that truly felt like home. It’s a constant reminder that the most meaningful things in life are the ones we carry with us. My goal is to curate intentional gifts that help your people feel seen and celebrated, pairing small-batch gourmet bakes with original watercolor art—created by hand, delivered with heart, and tailored to your sentiment.

I’m so happy you’re here to be part of this story!!
